Bryd fy Nhad caf yfed dyfroedd?

Bryd, fy Nhad, caf
    yfed dyfroedd,
  Dyfrodd gloywon sy'n iachau?
Pob rhyw bleser wedi darfod,
  Ond yn unig dy fwynhau;
Pwyso'm henaid ar dy fynwes,
  Edrych yn dy wyneb llon,
Caru nes anghofio'r oriau
  Sy'_imi ar y ddaear hon.

    Bryd, fy Nhad, caf
        yfed dyfroedd,
      Dyfroedd glowyon sy'n iachau;
    Pob rhyw bleser wedi darfod,
      Ond yn ynig dy fwynhau.

Bryd caf wel'd y tir dymunol,
  Hyfryd baradwysaidd wlad,
Lle mae brodyr imi filiwn,
  Lle mae 'Mhriod, lle mae Nhad,
Lle caf orphwys o fy llafur,
  Lle caf wella'm poen,
      a'm briw,
A chael gwledd dragwyddol, gyson,
  Fyth yn nghwmni'm
      Tad a'm Duw?

  Bryd ca'i wel'd y tir dymunol?
  O Pa bryd cāf wel'd dy wyneb?
  Ofer i mi wel'd y ddaear

When, my Father, may I
    get to drink waters,
  Bright waters which are healing?
Every pleasure having vanished,
  Except only to enjoy thee;
To lean my soul on thy breast,
  To look in thy cheerful face,
To love until forgetting the hours
  Which I have on this earth.

    When, my Father, may I
        get to drink waters,
      Bright waters which are healing?
    Every pleasure having vanished,
      Except only to enjoy thee.

When may I get to see the desired land,
  The delightful paradisiacal country,
Where are a million brothers to me,
  Where my Spouse is, where my Father is,
Where I may get rest from my labour,
  Where I may get my pain made better,
      and my wound,
And get a constant, eternal feast,
  Forever in the company of my
      Father and my God?
